Colina, a professional coach of Cebu International School, received a pin point pass from winger Iry `The Legend' Henson from the right corner then blasted the ball to the back of QCFC's net to secure the Bosconians of a slot to the final today. They will meet Football Club International Cebu (FCIC) in the final 3 pm. at the same venue. FCIC nipped College United 1-0 in the other semis match to arrange a title showdown. It will be the second final appearance between the two squads after they met in the final of the Don Bosco Technology Center Founder's Day Futsal championship in February. This time DB-Pinoysoccer team coach Bro. Mari Aberasturi SDB vowed to seek vengeance against the FCIC which is bannered by the players of the now disbanded Hiroshi FC. Lemar Baunsit and Robert Nicart put DB-Pinoysoccer.com ahead in the second half but Japanese striker Mitzu and Rommel Cuizon scored one goal each for QCFC in the second half to extend the match. `We were ready to wrap up the match early but the ground was too muddy. It disturbed our rhythm in the second half but luckily we still managed to escape with a well deserved win,' Aberasturi said. Jaypy Aranguez scored the lone goal for FCIC against College United which is made up of players from the different local universities. It will be the second time also for both DB-Pinoysoccer.com and FCIC to meet in this tournament. FCIC edged DB-Pinoysoccer.com 3-2 in the elimination round. College United and Queen City will clash for the third place in the morning at the San Roque field in Mandaue city. The 8th edition of the Cebu National Inter-Club football tournament is a project of the current Cebu Football Association president Richard Montayre with Queen City Football Club officials Ricky Dakay and Ralph Musni. |
