GITAGUM, MISAMIS ORIENTAL - Veteran striker Lemar Baunsit shone brightest for the Pinoysoccer.com sponsored Don Bosco team today (May 4) when he scored the winning penalty shot during the sudden death shootout to defeat Football Club International Cebu and bring home the 8th Cebu National Inter-Club championships men's division title.

Baunsit, who works as a graphics artist at Exas Philippines at the Mactan Export Processing Zone, capped his all around performance in the entire tournament when he also brought home the Best Striker and the Most Valuable Players awards in this tournament organized by the Queen City United Football Club and the Cebu Football Association.

The match reached the sudden death after the teams ended penalty shootout with a 3-3 draw at the muddy and rain drenched Univerity of San Carlos-Talamban campus pitch.

As Baunsit carried DB-Pinoysoccer offensively, goalkeeper Alex Buanghug a policeman at the Cebu city Police station, played a hero's role defensively stopping FCIC Rocky Garciano's attempt in the sudden death to secure the title and avenged their final loss in the Don Bosco Technology Center Futsal championship last February.

Bong Aller, Iry `The Legend' Henson, and Oliver Colina hit the targets for DB-Pinoysoccer.com while Jade Paghubasan and Nino Zapanta's attempts did not find their targets.

Voltaire Montebon, Vermont Bermedo and Ariel Cahilig found the back of the net for Inter-Cebu while Ephifanio Inot's strike hit went wide and Marlon Cobello's attempt was saved by Buanghug.

According to DB-Pinoysoccer.com coach Bro. Mari Aberasturi SDB, they were very confident at the start and dearly paid for it as Garciano put Inter-Cebu ahead 1-0 at the halftime.

However, they re-grouped in the second half and relied on the experience and goal of former RP U23 team player Oliver `Bing-Bing' Colina to score a 1-1 at regular time.

The hard working Colina's efforts in the entire tournament also paid off as he was named Best Midfielder.

Former University of San Jose-Recoletos top striker now turned central defender Kristopher Relucio, was the pillar of DB-Pinoysoccer.com's defense earning for himself the Best Defender of the tournament award.

The victory gave DB-Pinoysoccer.com the right to represent Cebu in the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) National championship set in Dumaguete city in August.

According to Aberasturi, they will join the Barotac Nuevo Invitational tournament in June and the Aboitiz League in July in preparation for the National Championships.

The entire line up of DB-Pinoysoccer.com are Alex Buanghug, Patrick Gaite, Kristopher Relucio, Henk Ruiz, Bong Aller, Nino Zapanta, Jimboy Akiatan, Khalil, Kent Villanueva, Hunter Villanueva, Glen Ramos, Robert Nicart, Oliver Colina, Lycham, Warlo Sabella, Noli Entero, Richard Canedo, Limar Baunsit, Jade Paghubasan, Eleazar Toledo, Iry Genson, and Johnmar Abelgas.
