DAVAO (SunStar) - The Filipino-Spanish Friendship Football Festival sa Kadayawan will kick off on Saturday at the Tionko Football Field, Quimpo Boulevard.
The boys eight-under, 10-under, 12-under, 14-under and 17-under, girls elementary and high school categories will usher the festival on opening day while the ladies open, men's open first division and men's open second division will be held on Sunday.
Boys division champion teams will receive trophies and gold medals while the second and third placers will get silver and bronze medals, respectively, while the girls division champion teams will also claim trophies and gold medals.
The organizing Davao Football Association (DFA), however, said that the first division players cannot play in the second division unless they are 30 years old and above.
In the second division-Davao, only players who didn't see action in first division tournaments in the past and who are 30 years old or over are allowed to join along with out-of-town players who haven't played in regional and national qualifying meets.
