  you're right locotes...

she should visit the site, read the articles, perused the forums and she'll have the best ideas in the world...

she wont even have to brainstorm because a lot of people are doing it... all in the name of Philippine football...

and gosh, she have us, the people who live and breathe football. she'll have the best and most supportive block in town... i think we can help her...if she wants to...

Sorry i guess we have the same name so I am changing mine with an 18. I just dont like her because she looks too much high society and not a football fan. We don't need a local Posh Spice now do we? I wouldn't be surprised if she creates a James Younghusband perfume line like Becks. How does that help us all?

  Here's the Dominique...

let's give Ms. Joyce Ramirez the chance and the time to do something about football in the country.

And talk about more and more members of the Female circuit joining the club. *positive sign

i don't see it as detrimental to the popularity of the sport or the players...

pretty face, may actually work. take for example Gabby dela Merced, with her looks she made car racing appealing to the public.
(Bonus is the PBB stint, but I'm not saying someone should join PBB...)

i hope that with the connections of Ms. Ramirez and so called media expertise help the growth of football in the country...

Yes, it may be too late for this Asian Cup Qualifier in Iloilo but at least "better late than never" and anyway, there are still a lot of events coming up and that football has still a long road ahead...

but let may say that, expertise and all are not the key to make football big in the country. the People involved should first and foremost LOVE the sport and has passion in it. not just mere seeing it as another product to sell alongside tuna cans, flavored tea drinks and flip-flops from Brazil.

We're all in this together... let's help one another. no matter how they'll make the sport look good if we don't do our part as well, we wont achieve anything...

Let's pray this is already a start of something new*

*so sorry... this surprises me...
as far as i know i did not comment anything here.
is this some sort of using or its just a case of co-incidence wherein we just have the same screen name...?

well, i guess i have different and better insight on this article...

PEACE!

Its amusing all the comments were getting. There are gonna be criticisms, her being a pretty face. We should make it a campaign to get her number..hehehe. But football is a product just like any other. At the end of the day, there are tried and tested marketing techniques to sell a product, a scientific approach to this. In this day and age, with all the technology we have, it should be easier than say 20-30 years ago. Considering how low key the PFF has been over the years, I think she should be given a chance.

One thing I'd like to comment on and I think people will agree is that through the years whenever a game is being televised ( I remember the defunct semi pro league a few years back, I cant even remember what they called it), You usually have one expert and then an anchor who doesnt know anything about football. You usually have these stupid questions like, "if the ball is kicked into the crowd, can they take home the ball?" Anyway, we sort of end up spoon feeding the audience which I dont think is productive. Part of the beauty of the game is to find out what the rules are on your own and you can only do that by watching these thing repeatedly and a slowmo to show the violation and the goals. What we need are two guys who both know what they are talking about and put a Filipino twist in to the coverage. Speak in tagalog if they must but what should be highlighted is the skill and intensity of the game. Lets not market football as an elitist sport because its not. Having commentators who dont "talk the talk" will just not create any interest for the ordinary sports fan. Study the demographics and target which group of fans you want to get hooked. i really hope the PFF looks closely into the coverage of the upcoming games, since they are putting a lot of money into it by hiring this "expert", not to mention the cost of the tournament itself.

here's an idea, why not televise the games live in the bigscreen atop the mercury drug in quiapo? if anything, it will catch people's attention.

she looks good!, i hope she can do something big to happen in philippine football, of course we dont want to push her right away but if she can change something, that would be a big leap of hope for football lovers in the country. cause guys knows that beauty can or sometimes change the taste of food in the mouth, or, melt a soldiers stone heart, what i mean is, she can use her charm to communicate influential people to help uplift and loved football in the country.

we need someone who knows and loves the sport. we don't need international expertise, we want someone who can sell football so it will have more column inches in newspapers and become popualr in schools. we want someone who can go rugged and sell the sport in town halls. bad move.

So good to hear this kind of news. cross our fingers and hope that everything the PFF is doing is for the good of football in the country. one way also to boost the popularity of football, we need a P-league like that of Japan or S.Korea. a semi type pro P-league that is shown on T.V. will help the sport. people in showbiz, to gat involved in the game too will help. i just hope the askal will do their best i know they will. but loosing is not the end it is just the beginning of winning. even we loose in this up coming game but if it will popularize the game in our country it'll be the start. Joyce R. we are all with you and in prayers to in the promotion of the most loved and beatiful sport in the world.

Who is she? By her looks I give her an A but does she know anything about soccer? I hope she loves soccer too. What about Bong Pedralvez? Is he still the PR man of the PFF? Never heard about him recently. What is he doing for the PFF now?
